He wasn’t bad, he was just confused. He hid his vices by calling out her flaws. It was his only known way of surviving in a world that eagerly waited to steal her away. He could not be taught otherwise. He was savage that way, like the beast that hid itself in a castle and away from the world. So, he watched her every move and doubted her every confession. He kept her caged in his madness.

And she fell just as easily in love with him like the leaves that fall in autumn.
